Sometimes we just need to take a moment to reframe the situation to flip our perspective.
"I have homework due" "I get to learn something new."
"Ugh, I have dishes to do." "Having dishes to do means I got to eat today."
"I have to clean the floor" "At least I have a floor to clean."
"I'm still single" "I get a little extra time to better myself before they get here."
"Why did I marry them?" "They are a blessing to me."
"Why was I born?" "I am glad to be alive."
"My day is so..." "I am so thankful I get to see another day."
The funny thing about reframing is that it doesn't ignore the problems, the challenges, the inconveniences or the issues in life; it simply chooses to focus on something in the picture that is good and wonderful or - at the very least - something you can smile over.
The next time the situation seems particularly gloomy, no fun or just ugh, try seeing it from a different point of view.
Reframe your perspective.
