When you are overly tired, it can impact just about everything.
Your health, your schedule, your mindset for the day, your smile, your attitude, and even the way you communicate or respond to people can all be impact by not getting enough sleep.
When you are tired, the world around you isn't brighter or happier or better than it was yesterday. Your friends get on your nerves. Your pets can't do anything right.
Having a good sleep routine is essential to put your best foot (okay, best anything) forward.
I know, there will be many distractions to ciphen off your Zs. Friends, family, entertainment, the news, that concert, your to do list, procrastination that makes you stay up to write that paper or finish that project...
And bae. (or not having a bae...)
But I would encourage you to do your best to protect your sleep. You deserve to have a better day and a brighter tomorrow and sometimes protecting your sleep is the best way to start.
A tired you isn't your best you.
I know life gets busy, but whenever possible, protect your sleep. It won't always feel fun to set a routine and to go to bed on time, but tomorrow will be better for it.
You will be better for it.
